The Liquidity Layer pillar. Crucible provides server-enforced AMM swaps, liquidity-provider management, and a local 3-of-5 threshold bridge simulation.
Live application state and user actions are enforced by the Express service and its PostgreSQL database. The Solidity contracts deployed to Sepolia are reference implementations, not the live runtime execution path.
Crucible's AMM uses a constant-product pricing model across multiple liquidity pools. Swap quotes are computed from real pool reserves fetched at request time. Executing a swap debits the input token, credits the output token, and updates pool reserves atomically. Swap history is recorded per pool and feeds the Protocol Analytics volume charts. The AMM supports any pair of tokens registered in the pool registry.
Liquidity providers can add and remove liquidity from any pool by depositing token pairs in proportion to the current reserve ratio. LP positions track the provider's share of the pool and are updated atomically alongside reserve changes. Concurrent liquidity operations on the same pool are serialized using database-level locking to prevent reserve drift under high load.
The current Crucible bridge workflow is a local simulation that records application data only; it does not connect to, move assets across, or settle transactions on external networks. The Express service locally models route metadata, confirmation depth, 3-of-5 relayer attestations, and Merkle commitment proofs for product testing.
Swap volume and pool TVL from Crucible feed directly into the Protocol Analytics dashboard. Total-value-locked history is snapshotted daily per pool and aggregated across the protocol. Click-through from the TVL-by-pool and swap-volume charts drills into pool-level and individual-swap activity, providing full transparency into liquidity depth and trading activity.
